Jenna Jameson Hits One Million Friends on MySpace...
LOS ANGELES - "I can't believe it's Christmas," Jenna Jameson wrote in her holiday blog on MySpace.com. "I have always been a major Scrooge. That comes from having such a crappy childhood. It just kind of spilled over into adulthood."
It's both "cool" and sort of a lame excuse for news isn't it? It is however being reported in all sorts of places as if it were some sort of award. The real story is how our culture has finally reached a point at which a porn star can rival other more conventional celebrities in popularity. The only real question is how much did her publicist have to do with reaching the million mark so quickly...
"It is a great way to promote new projects and my appearances to fans, plus I have been able to keep up with my own friends online. I admit I am a bit addicted to Myspace!" says Jenna... No doubt, we will be reading more about this soon; after all, Jenna can now reach more minds and hearts than wallmart has employees. ...just some food for thought.
Georgia Attorney General In Fight Against Adult Shop
ROME, Ga. - Georgia Attorney Thurbert E. Baker has joined the fight to enforce an ordinance that would keep Floyd County’s only adult bookstore from operating in its current location. One has to wonder, does good ole' Thurbert have too much time on his hands?
Entice Adult Superstore filed suit against the county back in August. According to the Rome News Tribune, Baker has successfully requested “t be heard on the issue and will file a brief within 45 days. good ole' Thurbert will be acting as an interested party, and will be allowed to enter his opinion in the case in which he will naturally support the county.
Entice is challenging an ordinance restricting sexually oriented businesses. The store claims the ordinance specifically targets it and is intended to put it out of business. Jeez, have we not all seen this kind of thing happen routinely over and over in all parts of America? Both sides are seeking summary judgment.
